I really don't like the direction
CommunityWiki is going lately.
All these pages on "usury" do not reflect my opinions, I don't think they reflect a
lot of our opinions.
It's not on the agenda, as far as I'm concerned. It's totally not a place I want to be.
I'm losing interest.
It seems to me that several people who used to be regular contributors have lost interest as well.
I want to nuke:
*
CorporateGoals
*
WhatIsTax
*
PropertyLeft
It's unfortunate that there are faint traces of things I find interesting inside them. But I think overall, this has been one huge digression.
It's getting out of hand.
Further, the language of "workers" vs. "non-workers" is totally broken as a concept, to me. We're not communicating.
This has got to stop, if
CommunityWiki is going to contirnue to function, as far as I can tell.
CommunityWiki is not a leftist revolutionary force.

I stopped reading all these pages. I think I lost interest when
CorporateGoals was written. They don't reflect where I want to take Community Wiki. I'm willing to let people on these pages finish their discussion, and maybe later we'll find that these pages are better of elsewhere. We can decide upon a course of action when the time is right. Maybe it's time for a split. Let's wait and see.

Interesting. there are signs for mitosis here, the cell community-wiki goes through biochemical changes, a rumor goes through it, it prepares to devide. If it really would be like that - which I doubt - the question would be:<br>
How to do that in the most effective way for the "body", the sum of cells, the swarm, wikilandia, the
[
HiveMind? hive-mind], planet earth, us? Was it
OnAndOffTopic? I wrote about this off-topic area, like the suburbs, not for working but for sleeping and living and such? The fields full of people outsides of the walls of a medieval city. Those who come and go, who seek entrance or travel on? We need such on wiki, a periphery, peripheries we can share with other wikis. Recent changes in two modes, show them with off-topic contents and show only on-topic. It's no shame if something turns off-topic, like here it obviously does. The structure should provide: community-wiki has a content that it would like to give further to a more appropriate place. And getting this information "fed" other wikis should immediately know it and react. Maybe contents could be kind of travelling through wikilandia as a whole. Seeing it more as an ocean than as solid ground, maybe like that? Not wikilandia but wikioceania maybe. More like in our brains.
I'm just thinking about the easter egg surching game my parents used to play with me when I was little and we just played with my little niece some weeks ago. The kid searches and the one who hid the easter egg goes "water", .... "water", when the searching kid is far from the object of search "coal" .. "coal" when getting closer and "fire, fire, fire" when really close. Maybe tag topics? We need to care for [
TopicNode? topic-nodes]. Water is off-topic.
Is [
WaterCoalFire? water, coal, fire] an appropriate name for the concept?
hm. fire and coal are on topic. But a definitely nasty troll-spamer who probably be should put out where the water is deep is not the same as our case. I'd therefor opt for introducing
beach, somewhere you get your feet wet. Marx was an offliner. I guess we are more interested in modern concepts, dunno, sry. (Just more interested, not that we reject it, time is short, know?).

My apologies, but I only created
CorporateGoals initially in response to what I perceived to be Lion's interests and I did so only because I thought I was being invited to comment by this expression of interest. Since then, the page has certainly digressed in some ways, and all I did was ignore those digressions that I personally do not agree with since that is about as forcefully as I ever act on any public site. I assure everyone that I have no intention whatsoever, of contributing material to this site that is in any way objectionable. -- Hans

I am sincerely sorry this wasn't what I thought it was. I'll fade away, though I'd like to check by "as a reader" occasionally to see how things are. No hard feelings on my part. Probably we will meet someday and this will be funny. --

Remember Patrick to leave notes on your homepage or so here about what you're at and if your drop into things you think might be especially interesting for us here leave us a note. Cu l8ers.
hm. I don't feel too good about this. Maybe [
http://www.communitywiki.org/odd/ETerra/HomePage eTerra-wiki] is a place to go on? But I didn't find the time to translate sigis and my old 03/04 ideas and my terrahome stuff yet, we'll see.
DavidCary:2006-05-01
Rather than nuke the pages, surely they will be on-topic at one of the over 2400 other wiki.
Patrick, do you have any preference for which wiki these pages should go to?
If not, I'll move them to one of these wiki at random. Guess which one:
Economics and currency:
